Hydration
Your body is mostly water. Fishing in the sun, wind, and salt air dries you out fast — even when you don't feel thirsty.
Drink before you're thirsty
If you already feel thirsty, you are behind. Sip water every 20–30 minutes. Set a reminder or ask your crew to remind you.
Skip the soda
Sugary sodas and energy drinks actually pull water out of you. Water, coconut water, or a light sports drink are much better on the boat.
Bring more than you think
A big bottle can disappear in a few hours. Pack extra water — for you and for anyone who forgot theirs.
