End of Summer Surf Fishing Festival – Saturday, Sept 12 at Sunset Beach!
Get DirectionsI can’t believe summer is over, but surf fishing still has a long way to go! Join us for the End of Summer Surf Fishing Festival on Saturday, September 12 from 9 AM to 12 noon at Anderson Street and Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach, California. These gatherings are always special. Some people come to fish the surf, others just want a cup of coffee and to enjoy the beautiful beach, and many come to connect with the Friedman Adventures family — great people looking to do great things in our communities. There will be a raffle at 12 noon and plenty of good company ready to have a great time. Parking tip: Park around Anderson Street and PCH. If it’s full, park across the street on the other side of Pacific Coast Highway and just walk over. Walk straight out from Anderson Street onto the beach and you’ll find the Friedman Adventures family. Make sure you stop by Big Fish Bait and Tackle in Seal Beach for all the bait and tackle you’ll need. Looking forward to seeing you there — should be another great day! Check http://friedmanadventures.com for Captain’s audios, landing and boat counts, bait updates, Friedman Adventures AI, Kids Corner, and lots more. #SurfFishing #SunsetBeach #FriedmanAdventures #EndOfSummer #SurfFishingFestival #OrangeCountyFishing #SealBeach #CommunityEvent #Raffle #SoCalFishing

Who is Phil Friedman?
Phil Friedman founded 976-TUNA in 1985 and has spent four decades reporting Southern California fishing. Friedman Adventures is his home for daily fishing intel, videos, travel, food, and stories from the helm.
How do I book a trip with Phil?
Head to the Charters page for current boats and destinations, or send a note through the Contact page and Phil's team will follow up with dates and pricing.
Where do the daily fish counts and bait reports come from?
Dock totals are pulled from landing reports each day, and bait receiver conditions are scraped from the receivers themselves. Both refresh automatically throughout the day.
Are the captain reports real?
Yes. Verified captains call in a voice report or submit a written one from the water. Every report shows whether it is a voice recording, a written report, or both.
What is UFC's Bite Club?
It is the free community for anglers who follow Phil. Members share catches, get exclusive updates, and appear on the Bite Club feed. Signing up takes under a minute.
Is Junior Crew free for kids?
Completely free. Junior Crew has fish guides, knot lessons, safety clinics, badges, and games built for young anglers, with no account required to start.
