Leave No One Indoors
Helping People Rediscover the Joy of the Real World
At Friedman Adventures, our mission is simple, urgent, and deeply human:Leave No One Indoors.
We believe every person — regardless of age, ability, background, or circumstance — deserves the chance to feel the sun on their face, breathe fresh air, laugh with friends, touch sand, and experience the healing power of the outdoors.
Outdoor Experiences for Those Who Need Them Most
Friedman Adventures creates outdoor experiences for people who might not otherwise have access to them.
Orphans in Mexico
We take orphans in Mexico on their first fishing trips and teach them how to cast a line. For many, it is their first time feeling the ocean breeze and experiencing wonder beyond a screen.
Seniors in Care
We bring seniors from care homes into the sunshine so they can talk, laugh, remember, and feel part of the living world again. A short walk in the sun can feel like being welcomed back into life.
Our Veterans
We take veterans fishing, giving them a peaceful day on the water and a reminder that they are not forgotten. A day on the water may not erase pain, but it can offer peace, purpose, and brotherhood.
Our work reaches across the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, the Philippines, and wherever we are called. Because the beautiful world God gave us was never meant to be experienced only through a screen.
Something Sacred Has Been Lost
Too many children and adults are spending their lives indoors, isolated, disconnected, and glued to screens.
Since smartphones and social media became part of everyday life, we have watched anxiety, depression, loneliness, and self-harm rise sharply — especially among young people.
Kids who once climbed trees, played outside, got dirty, took risks, made friends face-to-face, and learned through real adventure are now spending more time in bedrooms than backyards.
Sunshine matters. Friendship matters. Fresh air matters. Movement matters. Adventure matters.
A fishing trip may look simple from the outside, but for a child who has never held a rod, it can become a memory that lasts a lifetime.
For a child who has never held a rod, a single fishing trip becomes a memory that lasts a lifetime.
For an elderly person who has been indoors for weeks, a short walk in the sun feels like being welcomed back into the world.
For a veteran, a day on the water may not erase the pain, but it can offer peace, purpose, and brotherhood.
These moments change people.

Donate NowWe Are Building a Movement
A movement that tells children to put down the phone and pick up a fishing rod.
A movement that reminds seniors they still belong in the sunshine.
A movement that tells veterans they are not alone.
A movement that believes the real world is still beautiful, still healing, and still worth fighting for.
Get outside. Meet people. Find a hobby. Touch sand. It changes everything.
Support Our Nonprofit Adventures
Every dollar you donate helps fuel the community events that mean the most to Phil and the Friedman Adventures crew — free fishing trips for the children of Catalina Island's service workers in honor of John Talsky, our annual Surf Fishing Festival that introduces kids and adults to the joy of getting outdoors, mentor programs for new anglers, gear giveaways, and the ongoing work of keeping Southern California's coast healthy and accessible for the next generation. 100% of donations go directly to event costs, equipment, and the kids and families we serve.
