What to ask when you dial

  • If you're chasing bluefin, call the evening before AND at 4–5 AM departure morning.
  • Ask specifically about sardine size — 5–7" is gold for cow bluefin.
  • Confirm whether cured bait or mackerel is on the receiver.
  • On a busy weekend, get there early — receivers can be rationed.

Fishing Notes

  • Closest to Fisherman's Landing, H&M Landing, Point Loma Sportfishing, and Seaforth fleets.
  • Best jump-off for the 425 / 371 / 302 bluefin zones.
  • Most consistent bait in SoCal — worth the trailer for a serious bluefin day.
