New Hustler Delivers Yellowtail, Halibut & Limits on July 4th! 🎣🔥
Great overnight trip on the New Hustler out of Hooks Landing in Oxnard! The boat put together a solid catch with 13 yellowtail, 4 halibut just shy of limits, nice sheephead, and plenty of rockfish and whitefish. Everybody went home with giant sacks of fillets on the 4th of July.
There’s been a steady and good supply of live squid, which has definitely been helping the bite. We’re also finally moving away from the full moon, and that should continue to improve the fishing in the coming days.
Great news: The New Hustler is running open party all next week starting Monday, and they still have plenty of openings. If you’ve been thinking about getting out, this is a smart time to take advantage of the improving conditions.
