Sand Bass Action is On! Limited Out on the Estella This Morning 🎣

The Estella out of Hooks Landing in Oxnard had an excellent morning of sand bass fishing and limited out on them. Great close-to-home action for everyone on board!
Captain Daniel recommends fishing 20-25 lb test with 6 oz or 10 oz torpedo sinkers, 4/0 Aki twist hooks, and 1 oz lead heads. Fresh dead squid was working very well this morning and produced lots of hookups. Once the sand bass limit is reached, the crew can turn their attention to some tasty rockfish this afternoon.
Sand bass must be 14 inches, and each angler is allowed up to 4 barred sand bass per day (as part of the 5-bass combined limit).
What a great day on the Estella — and tonight is looking even better! This evening’s twilight trip (first one of the year) departs at 5:30 PM. There’s still time to join if you want in on the action.
Reminder: Friedman Adventures will be on board the Estella for a limited-load full-day trip on Thursday, July 23. We’re capped at 32 anglers + 2 Friedman Adventures staff members. A few spots are still open — if you want on this trip, text Phil directly at 657-227-6459.
Also, don’t forget that http://friedmanadventures.com will be live streaming the bluefin tuna bite this weekend on board the New Lo-An out of Point Loma Sportfishing in San Diego. Subscribe to the Friedman Adventures YouTube channel or just head to http://friedmanadventures.com to watch the action live from the big bluefin tuna zone!
