Thoughts & Prayers for Earl McVicar – A True Legend & Cherished Friend

Earl McVicar and I have been friends for many decades. He was right by my side when I started 976 Tuna back in 1985, always lending a hand at the shows and everything we were doing. We shared the rail on countless fishing trips over the years and created a lot of great memories together.

What I’ll never forget is how Earl never missed an opportunity to help kids fishing. With Don Ashley from Pierpoint Landing, we took tens of thousands of excited children out on the water. Earl was there for every single trip with the greatest attitude you could imagine. I often wonder how many of those kids fell in love with sportfishing because of his patience, love, and care.

Earl is battling cancer right now and needs our support. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He’s a true legend in our fishing family and has touched so many lives in the best way.
