The Excalibur out of H&M Landing in San Diego just put 18 wahoo on the deck on day one of a three-day trip — the best wahoo score so far this close to San Diego.
Wahoo have been showing from U.S. waters into Mexico off Rosarito, Ensenada, and down off San QuintÃn. The fishing has been fantastic. This takes it to another level.
Wahoo in these numbers this close to San Diego is rare. This is a tropical speedster that usually lives well south of the border. El Niño 2026 has pushed warm water north and the fish came with it.
Pangas out of Ensenada are also into wahoo and marlin this morning.
