Pacific Voyager Strikes Yellowtail GOLD! 307 for 19 Anglers 🎣🔥 Capt. Max Neue

Pacific Voyager Strikes Yellowtail GOLD! 307 for 19 Anglers 🎣🔥 Capt. Max Neue

Captain Max Neue and the Pacific Voyager are returning this evening from a three-day trip with 19 anglers… and they decided to go prospecting.

They struck gold. Or should I say they struck yellowtail.

19 anglers. 307 yellowtail. On a three-day trip.

Absolutely incredible fishing.

Captain Luis said all methods worked — fly-line bait, proper loop bait, surface iron, yo-yo iron. You get the feeling that if somebody would’ve fly-lined a dill pickle they would’ve gotten an instant hookup on another fat yellowtail.

This is definitely an El Niño kind of score. Big yellowtail and lots of them for the Pacific Voyager out of C4 Sportfishing in San Diego.

In El Niño years we see some truly special fishing across a variety of species. Warmer water brings the yellows in heavy numbers, pushes the tuna and dorado farther north, and sometimes even delivers rare visitors right into our backyard. And because 2026 has been called a Super El Niño, I believe there are a whole lot more incredible bites and unforgettable fishing adventures still ahead of us this year.
