Hey everyone, Just a quick update for the Friedman Adventures family.

Hey everyone, Just a quick update for the Friedman Adventures family.

There was a 7.3 magnitude earthquake this morning off the southern coast of Mexico, near the Chiapas coastline close to the Guatemala border.

So far, authorities in Mexico and Guatemala are reporting no major damage or injuries, which is very good news. Still, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the region who felt it and may have been affected.

The important part for us here: there is no tsunami threat to the West Coast of the United States. The National Tsunami Warning Center has issued only an informational message — no advisory and no warning for California or anywhere along our coast.

No need for concern on our end. Stay safe out there, and as always you can check the latest official information at http://tsunami.gov.

See you on the beach tomorrow morning for the Surf Fishing Festival.
