6-Hour Live Stream Record… Then This Happened 😂
Hey everyone, just wrapped up a really fun trip live streaming on the New Lo-An out of Point Loma Sportfishing with the 805 Fishing Club. From the moment I met these guys I knew it was gonna be a good one — solid mix of younger guys and old timers like me.
Friday night got absolutely wild. We set a new Friedman Adventures record for the longest live stream yet — just shy of six hours, over 4,000 views, more than 400 people still watching at 2 AM, and nearly 2,000 comments. Insane night.
Rolled into the bunk around 4 AM for a couple hours of sleep. Woke up Saturday morning and my shirt was completely soaked. It was dry when I went to bed… so yeah, an abscess decided to open up on my stomach and start draining like it had somewhere to be. A little painful, but nothing dramatic.
Being the sharp, responsible outdoorsman I am, I grabbed some paper towels, stuffed ’em in there, and figured “fishing’s way too good to stop now.” Kept rolling, did another three-hour live stream Saturday night, and we even finished with a limit of bluefin and a bunch of happy faces.
I know, I know — probably should’ve gone straight to the ER instead of playing MacGyver with paper towels and hoping it would just behave. But no fever, didn’t look too angry, and I had shows to knock out. Finally made it to UCI ER Tuesday morning, they got everything cleaned up, put me on antibiotics, and sent me home good to go by 8 PM. Big shoutout to the whole UCI staff — they took great care of me.
Feeling 100% now, finally caught up on sleep, and ready to roll. Thanks as always for the support you guys show — it really means a lot.
